Painted during my artist residency in Nordingrå, Sweden!

I love this cozy view of red houses along Bönhamn harbor, but I think my favorite part of this painting might be the little life preserver hanging on the pier. I saw this same style of life saver everywhere I went near all bodies of water, from the sea to small ponds. In Stockholm there is even a sculpture designed to look like a giant stack of life preservers, and I love how something so practical has become an iconic decoration.
