Painted during my artist residency in Nordingrå, Sweden!

Just a few miles from the artist residency, an unassuming trailhead led to this incredible viewpoint overlooking lots of islands stretching into the Bothnian Sea. I visited this spot several times throughout my residency, and it became a grounding place for me to turn to when I felt homesickness creep up on me. Sitting on a little rock looking out a this expansive view made me laugh a little at whatever I was worried about, and made me feel big enough to take on the world.
