Painted during my artist residency in Nordingrå, Sweden!

On my way to the residency, I took a road trip through the region of Dalarna to visit a few towns where I have family history. I found myself especially drawn to the wildflowers growing near Orsa, and they were my first painting subject once I was settled in to my studio. I love the textile feel of this piece and the bits of red underpainting peeking through all the green.
