Painted during my artist residency in Nordingrå, Sweden!

I read in a guidebook that Trysunda was voted the prettiest island in Sweden, and immediately had to see it for myself. I took a day trip by ferry to visit the island, which is small enough to explore by foot in an afternoon. I spent the day wandering the harbor village, beaches, and pristine forest trails lined with heather. This painting was inspired by the view from a dock I sat on at the end of the day, before taking ferry back to the mainland. My favorite part was painting the light reflecting in the water.
